On August 23, 2025, the Amarillo Police Department went head-to-head with the Amarillo Fire Department in a friendly (but fierce!) competition at our beloved Boots vs. Badges event. While we all know it’s not just about the bragging rights, it’s hard not to have a little fun when you’re battling it out on the field!
This year as we faced off against the Amarillo Fire Department, win or lose, we all came together for a great cause: supporting the Coffee Memorial Blood Center and the 100 Club of Amarillo.
And guess what? The Badges took home the trophy for the big win of the night! 🏆 But that's not all—we also snagged a second trophy for the popular vote at the kickoff blood drive! Clearly, our charm (and maybe a few killer pitches) won over the crowd!
A huge thank you to everyone who participated, cheered, and donated blood. Together, we’re not just rivals on the field, but teammates in making a difference in our community! Here’s to more friendly competitions and support for our fellow first responders. 💙👮♂️🚒
